LG has finally confirmed that it will be releasing it's much anticipated 5.5 inch 1080p smartphone - The Optimus G Pro.
The company's first full HD smartphone, LG Optimus Pro has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of DDR RAM, and 32 GB of storage memory, expandable via microSD memory cards.
The device also has a huge 3,140mAh battery and runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
On the back the Optimus G Pro has an 13 megapixel camera with LED flash and on the front a 2.1 megapixel camera. With a new feature called Dual Recording, the phone lets you record a video with both the cameras enabled simultaneously, with the feed from the front camera inserted into the main video for a picture in picture effect.
While the phone will be available for Korean consumers next week, an official date for US release hasn't been set, although it has been rumored to be in Q2.
If you are one of the lucky people that will be attending this year's Mobile World Congress, which takes place in Barcelona, Feb 25-28, you will be able to try this bad boy out for yourself.
The official SAR rating for the LG Optimus Pro has not been released yet. Once those numbers are made public we will make sure to get them to you.
