There have been so many amazing conferences this past year and I am glad that I ended this year off with a bang.
The AppNation Conference in San Francisco, CA was an exciting gathering of tech gurus and app developers from around the world, as well as the springboard for some big announcement from even biggers companies.
This year, the conference decided to “mash up” the consumer and enterprise aspects of the conference. AppNation included more than 3000 experts from across the broader apps ecosystem, developers and mobile entrepreneurs involved in developing apps across all key native platforms, social platforms, connected TV platforms, and the Enterprise.
Biggest of these companies was Amazon. The company announced that Android developers building apps for the Amazon Appstore have a bevy of new tools to help leverage the rapidly growing Kindle Fire tablet ecosystem, Aaron Rubenson, Director of the Amazon Appstore. Tools like A/B testing, and the ability to test out new apps right on Kindle Fire devices.
The conference also featured innovative events and displays that caught the attention of nearly all the attendees.
The “Flurry Village” really stole the show this year. AppNation teamed up with the mobile analytics and monetization company Flurry to create an area for hot startups to demo their products and rub shoulders with other people in the industry. We had the privilege to be one of these companies and our booth was situated right in the thick of it all.
The biggest takeaway from this year's AppNation Conference was the vitality of the mobile market. I think that Simon Khalaf, CEO of Flurry put it best:
“The market is booming, I’ve never seen anything like this in my entire life.”
It has been quite a year and we are looking forward to what amazing experiences next year will bring.
